A one-off five-page website in Ireland typically costs €800 to €1,600. Then there’s hosting every year, and a bill for every change, if you can get the developer on the phone at all. Three years later it looks tired and nobody has the password.

From €49 a month, with nothing up front. Hosting, domain, security and your changes are all in it. We keep the site right, year after year, and after twelve months it’s yours to keep, whatever you decide.

Questions

The things people ask us first

Anything else, just ask. We’d rather you knew exactly what you’re getting.

Who owns the website?

You do. Your domain is registered in your name from the first day. Your words and photos are always yours. Once your first twelve months are paid, the website itself is yours too: if you ever leave, we hand over every file, free, with a note on how to host it elsewhere.

Is there a contract?

Twelve months to start, because that’s how we cover the work of building the site without charging a setup fee. After that it rolls on month to month and you can stop with 30 days’ notice.

How do I make changes?

Send us an email, in your own words: “change the Christmas Mass times”, “add this photo to the menu page”. We make the change and let you know when it’s live. There’s no login to remember and nothing for you to break.

What about email addresses?

We don’t sell email, on purpose. We’ll connect your domain to Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, in your name and paid directly to them (from about €6 a person a month), so your email never depends on us. Setting it up is free.

Do I have to write everything?

No. Most people send us what they have: an old leaflet, the current website, a few lines in an email. We shape it into proper pages and you check them before anything goes live. On The Works, we write the words from scratch.

How long does it take?

About three weeks from our first chat to going live, most of which is waiting for photos. If you’re in a hurry, say so.

Can you move my existing website?

Yes. We’ll rebuild what’s worth keeping, move your domain across without any downtime, and make sure Google follows you to the new pages.

Do you do online shops, bookings or forms?

Not on these plans. They’re for clear, quick, simple websites. If you need bookings or payments, we’ll link to a good service built for it, and we’re happy to point you to the right one.

What if I need more than ten pages?

Ask us. Extra pages can be added to any plan, and we’ll give you a price before we do anything.

Tell us about your place.

Send a line or two about what you do and where you are. We’ll come back within a working day with honest advice, even if the advice is that you don’t need us.
